Sphere Tangent to a Coordinate Axis

For centre:

$$C(a,b,c)$$

and radius $$r$$, tangency to the $$x$$-axis requires:

$$r=\sqrt{b^2+c^2}$$

Tangency to the $$y$$-axis requires:

$$r=\sqrt{a^2+c^2}$$

Tangency to the $$z$$-axis requires:

$$r=\sqrt{a^2+b^2}$$

Usage

- Used when a sphere is tangent to one of the coordinate axes.
