A: XAT is not very tough when compared to CAT. The only section that makes XAT quite challenging is the Decision Making (DM) section. Refer and practice from the Previous Papers of XAT and take XAT Mock tests to improve in the DM Section.
A: No, you are not allowed to carry a calculator to the XAT exam. Also, no onscreen calculator will be available during the exam.
XAT is conducted by XLRI Jamshedpur on behalf of XAMI. XLRI has been conducting since 73 years.
XAT exam 2024 is going to be held in January 7, 2024 - 2 PM to 5.30 PM. Previously, XAT exam used to take place between 9.30 to 1.00 PM.
For each correct response you get +1 and for each incorrect response you get -0.25. Also, you cannot unattempt more than 8 questions where for each unattempted question -0.10 is going to be deducted.

XAT ID is the same registration number that you get right after creating your account. This number is also the one that you get in your mail and phone number.
A: If you're well versed with some of the basic concepts or have prepared for CAT, then the XAT Crash Course is sufficient to crack the XAT exam. You need to follow the given schedule rigorously, take the mocks seriously, and analyze them well.
A: XAT Quant is not very difficult but considered slightly challenging. If you're aware of the basics of the core concepts tested in XAT Quants, and if you practice well, you can definitely crack the quants section.
A: The total duration of the XAT exam is 210 minutes (3 hr 30 mins).
The XAT DM section is not very easy and hence one must not avoid this section. Many aspirants avoid the XAT Decision Making section thinking it’s easy, but end up performing poorly on the day of the exam. One must definitely practice for this section, and one can easily improve through practice. Previous papers of XAT are the best source to practice questions from the Decision Making Section.
A: No, the marks obtained in the GK section are not included in the final XAT Percentile.
A: Learn the basics well. Focus on these areas and don't neglect the Decision Making (DM) Section. Refer to the Previous Year Papers of XAT, take the Mock tests seriously and analyze them well. Work on your weak areas and develop a strategy to implement during the exam. If you can follow these, XAT is not a tough exam to crack.
