Distance of a Point from a Line
For a line:
$$\vec r=\vec a+\lambda\vec d$$
and point with position vector $$\vec p$$:
$$D=\frac{|(\vec p-\vec a)\times\vec d|}{|\vec d|}$$
Usage
- Used to find the shortest distance from a point to a line.
