Line Through a Given Point Perpendicular to a Given Line

If a line has direction vector:

$$\vec d=a\hat i+b\hat j+c\hat k$$

then a perpendicular line with direction vector:

$$\vec d'=l\hat i+m\hat j+n\hat k$$

must satisfy:

$$al+bm+cn=0$$

Usage

- Used to determine possible direction vectors perpendicular to a given line.
