JEE Main Chemistry Important Chapters 2027

JEE Main Chemistry Important Chapters 2027 are Coordination Compounds, General Organic Chemistry, Thermodynamics, Equilibrium, Electrochemistry, and so on. As evident from the recent JEE Main papers, these topics have been repeated across multiple questions. Based on the importance of each topic, a student must decide their study order.

It is not recommended to limit your syllabus coverage to the important topics only. For scoring high marks, it is necessary to complete the full JEE Mains Chemistry Syllabus before the last revision phase.

NTA has not yet released the JEE Main 2027 syllabus. If you are preparing for JEE Main 2027, you must refer to the 2026 syllabus for now. It has 20 units divided into 4 parts:

  • Physical Chemistry
  • Inorganic Chemistry
  • Organic Chemistry
  • Practical Chemistry

The JEE Main 2026 Paper 1 pattern had 25 questions in Chemistry for 100 marks. Out of 25 questions, 20 were MCQs, and 5 were numericals. As soon as the 2027 information bulletin is updated by NTA, we will update the 2027 paper pattern here.

Chapter selection is not the only strategy for improvement in marks. You also need regular revision, topic-wise JEE Questions, and careful analysis of JEE Mains Previous Papers. Here is a quick rundown of the important chapters to complete first for JEE Main Chemistry:

Although previous year papers are important, they are not the only guide for the next JEE Main paper pattern. Still, previous year papers show those chapters that repeatedly appear in direct, numerical, and concept-based questions.
