JEE Percentile Predictor 2026
If you are wondering what percentile you will get based on the JEE Score, then there is good news for you. Cracku has built this amazing tool called JEE percentile predictor to help you. This tool uses the previous year trends, normalisation and the data received by thousands of response sheets to calculate the most accurate percentile.
This free tool helps you instantly get your expected percentile and All India Rank (AIR) based on your raw score and the shift you appeared in. Just enter your details and get your prediction in seconds.
Whether you appeared in the January session or the April session, this tool covers all shifts and gives you a realistic picture of where you stand, before the official NTA result is out. Once you know your expected percentile, you can also check Cracku's JEE College Predictor to see which NITs, IIITs and other colleges you may be eligible for.
JEE Main Marks vs Percentile 2026 (Expected Analysis)
One of the most stressful things about JEE Main is that you have your raw marks but not the percentile and the colleges take percentile as the score to give admission. Two students scoring the same marks in different shifts can end up with different percentiles, and that's completely normal. This happens because difficulty varies across each shift, and a tougher shift generally results in a higher percentile at lower marks, while an easier shift requires higher marks for the same percentile.
Here's a rough idea of what to expect based on trends from JEE Main 2026:
Percentile (Expected) | Score | Rank |
99.9+ | 221 | Under 1,500 |
99+ | 181 | Under 15,000 |
97+ | 146 | Under 45,000 |
95+ | 126 | Under 75,000 |
90+ | 91 | Under 1,50,000 |
85+ | 76 | Under 2,25,000 |
80+ | 66 | Under 3,00,000 |
75+ | 56 | Under 3,75,000 |
Note: These are approximate figures. Your actual percentile depends on your specific shift's difficulty and the overall performance of all students in that shift. This is why using a shift-wise predictor like Cracku's tool gives you a far more accurate estimate than a generic marks-to-percentile table.
How to Use Cracku's JEE Percentile Predictor 2026
Using the tool is super simple. Just follow these steps:
Select your shift - Choose the exact date and shift you appeared in (for example, Apr 4, Shift 1 or Apr 6, Shift 2)
Enter your expected raw score - This is the score you calculated using the official answer key or Cracku's Score Calculator
Click "Predict Percentile" - The tool instantly shows your expected percentile and estimated All India Rank
Plan your next step - Use the "Find Your Colleges" button to explore which colleges match your predicted rank
That's it. The whole process takes less than a minute.
Important Note: If you are not sure of your exact score yet, Use Cracku's JEE Mains Score Calculator first to calculate your raw score from your response sheet, and then come back to the Percentile Predictor for your full analysis.

How to Calculate Percentiles in JEE Mains 2026?
NTA does not directly publish a marks-to-percentile conversion chart. Instead, they calculate your percentile using a specific formula, and it's worth understanding how it works.
The Official NTA Percentile Formula:
Percentile Score = (Number of students who scored equal to or less than you ÷ Total number of students in your shift) × 100
So if 9,50,000 students appeared in your shift and 9,20,000 of them scored less than or equal to your marks, your percentile would be:
(9,20,000 ÷ 9,50,000) × 100 = 96.84 percentile
Important Note: Percentile ≠ Percentage. A 98 percentile does NOT mean you scored 98% marks. It means you performed better than 98% of all students in your shift.
Each shift is calculated separately. Since JEE Main results are prepared using percentile scores, not raw marks, the percentile shows how a candidate performed relative to others in the same shift.
NTA uses normalisation. NTA uses equi-percentile equating, a student who scores at the 75th percentile within their own shift gets the same scaled score as a student who scored at the 75th percentile in any other shift, regardless of the raw marks needed to achieve that position. Your final AIR combines both sessions. If you appeared in both January and April, NTA takes your best percentile from either session to calculate your final All India Rank.
