JEE Main 2027 Registration Dates and Important Deadlines
NTA started accepting JEE Main Session 1 applications on 24 October 2026. The regular application window closes on 22 November 2026 at 11:50 PM. Both online form submission and successful fee payment must be completed within this deadline.
Creating an application number does not mean registration is complete. NTA generates the confirmation page only after receiving the prescribed application fee. Students should therefore check their payment status before considering their application successfully submitted.

JEE Main 2027 Late Fee Registration Dates
Students who miss the regular deadline can submit their JEE Main 2027 application from 23 November to 26 November 2026. NTA has officially allowed late registration with an additional fee of ₹500.
This amount is charged over the regular examination fee. It is not the total registration fee. The applicable examination fee depends on the candidate's category, gender, selected papers and exam centre location.
For example, a General category male candidate applying for only Paper 1 at an examination centre in India has a regular examination fee of ₹1,000. During late registration, the amount becomes ₹1,500, excluding applicable payment processing charges and taxes.
The additional ₹500 late fee is the same for all categories, even though their regular exam fees may differ.
The JEE Main 2027 registration last date with late fee is 26 November 2026, up to 11:50 PM. Candidates must complete both the application and payment by this time. This late registration period is an announced facility, not an unlimited extension. Students should not assume another opportunity will be provided after 26 November unless NTA issues a fresh notification.
Steps to Complete JEE Main 2027 Registration Before the Last Date
Candidates must complete the JEE Main 2027 registration process online through the official NTA website. The process includes creating an account, entering application details, uploading documents and paying the examination fee.
Follow these steps to complete the JEE Main 2027 application form:
- Visit the official website: Open jeemain.nta.nic.in and select the Session 1 application link.
- Complete registration: Choose the available registration or identity-verification option, including MeriPehchaan where applicable.
- Generate application credentials: Enter the required personal details, create a password and save your system-generated application number.
- Fill out the application form: Log in and provide your educational qualifications, selected examination papers and preferred examination cities.
- Upload required documents: Capture your live photograph and upload the scanned photograph, signature and other applicable documents.
- Review the details: Check your name, date of birth, category, selected papers and uploaded documents before payment.
- Pay the examination fee: Use an approved payment method, such as UPI, net banking, debit card or credit card.
- Download the confirmation page: Save and print the confirmation page after successful fee payment.
In its advisory dated 28 October 2026, NTA recommended that applicants use their own DigiLocker, JanParichay or e-Pramaan credentials. It also advised completing DigiLocker re-KYC before registration so updated identity details can be fetched.
The candidate's name and date of birth must match their Class 10 certificate or marksheet.
If payment is deducted but the confirmation page does not appear, check the transaction status with the bank or payment gateway. Contact NTA if the payment was successful but the confirmation page remains unavailable. Do not create another application.
Once registration is complete, students can continue their preparation using mock tests and practise with JEE Mains Previous Papers.
Documents Required for JEE Main 2027 Application Form
Students should prepare their documents before starting the application. NTA requires applicants to provide personal and educational information, along with specific scanned files.
Keep your Class 10 records, Class 12 educational details, active mobile number, email address and applicable category information ready. In addition to uploading a scanned photograph, candidates must also capture a live photograph during registration. NTA requires a recent colour photograph against a white background, showing 80% of the face, including the ears, without a mask.
The live photograph can be captured using a webcam or the portal's mobile QR-code facility where needed. Before uploading, verify that every file is clear and within the prescribed size limit. Ensure that personal details match the Class 10 records to avoid identity-verification difficulties.
The JEE Main 2027 documents required for uploading are listed below.
Document | Format | File Size |
Recent scanned photograph | JPG/JPEG | 10-200 KB |
Scanned signature | JPG/JPEG | 10-100 KB |
Class 10 certificate or marksheet | 50-300 KB
Disability/UDID certificate, if applicable | 50-300 KB
Certificate of physical limitation to write, if applicable | 50-300 KB
Non-Indian passport for applicable foreign nationals, including OCI | 50-300 KB |
