 Optimization by Second Derivative

For a differentiable function, after solving:

$$f'(x)=0$$

a candidate point $$x=c$$ is a local maximum when:

$$f''(c)<0$$

and a local minimum when:

$$f''(c)>0$$

Usage

- Used as the standard second-derivative approach for optimization.
