Derivative of a Polynomial Function

For:

$$f(x)=\sum_{k=0}^{n}a_kx^k$$

the derivative is:

$$f'(x)=\sum_{k=1}^{n}ka_kx^{k-1}$$

Usage

- Used for compact differentiation of polynomial functions.

Question 1

A particle moves along the curve $$y=\frac13x^3-3x^2+11x-5$$ Find the coordinates of the point on the curve at which the rate of change of its $$y$$-coordinate is exactly twice the rate of change of its $$x$$-coordinate with respect to time.
