Derivative of a Difference

If:

$$f'(x)-g'(x)=0$$

then:

$$\frac{d}{dx}[f(x)-g(x)]=0$$

and therefore:

$$f(x)-g(x)=C$$

Usage

- Used in problems where two functions have identical rates of change.
