The NSEC 2026 syllabus is much more similar to CBSE Chemistry up to Class 12. NSEC Chapter-Wise Weightage 2026

IAPT does not prescribe any official chapter-wise weightage, but by analyzing the NSEC previous year's paper trends, students can mark high-weightage topics which get repeated every year. Students should make a list of these high-weightage topics and should give priority to these topics rather than reading the complete syllabus. If time also allows, students can move to low-weightage topics and cover other parts of the syllabus. The official IAPT syllabus for NSEC 2026 is broadly equivalent to Class 12 Chemistry under the CBSE syllabus. How to Use Previous Year Papers to Prepare for NSEC 2026

Previous Year papers not only help in practising but also help in knowing the difficulty level of the exam, question types and types of surprises that can appear in the real exam. Students should analyse every previous year's paper very sincerely and should start solving these questions once they complete a good amount of the syllabus in order to track their performance.

  • Solve these NSEC previous years' question papers in a real exam setting with an actual time limit.
  • Do not open any notes while solving these previous-year papers.
  • Solve NSEC previous-year papers at the same time slot as the actual NSEC exam 2026, from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM. This will help you build exam-day stamina, improve time management and accuracy, and understand how effectively you can perform under real exam conditions.
