Solutions (1 to 4):
The person from West Bengal has the person from Rajasthan standing to his immediate left and the person from Andhra Pradesh standing to his immediate right. All the three are standing to the left of the person from Tamil Nadu, who in turn is standing to the immediate right of the person from Sikkim. Also, neither the person from Rajasthan nor the person from Tamil Nadu is standing at the extreme end. So, the possibilities are as follows:
_Â R WB AP _ Sik TN _
_ R WB AP Sik TN _ _
_ _ R WB AP Sik TN _
The number of persons standing to the left of the person from Punjab is the same as the number of persons standing to the right of the person from Telangana.
So, the two of them should stand symmetrically. So, the following are the possibilities:
P/T R WB AP _ Sik TN T/P
P/T R WB AP Sik TN _ T/P
P/T _ R WB AP Sik TN T/P
The person from Gujarat has more people to his left than to his right. So, the third possibility can be ruled out. So, we have two final possibilities:
P/T R WB AP G Sik TN T/P
P/T R WB AP Sik TN G T/P
