Dot Product of Sum

$$\vec a\cdot(\vec b+\vec c)=\vec a\cdot\vec b+\vec a\cdot\vec c$$

Usage

- Used to expand dot products involving vector sums.

Question 1

Let $$\vec{p}$$, $$\vec{q}$$, and $$\vec{r}$$ be three vectors such that $$|\vec{p}| = 2$$, $$|\vec{q}| = 3$$, and $$|\vec{r}| = 4$$. If each of these vectors is perpendicular to the sum of the other two, find the magnitude of the vector $$\vec{p} + \vec{q} + \vec{r}$$.

Question 2

Let $$\vec{a}, \vec{b}, \vec{c}$$ be three non-coplanar vectors such that $$[\vec{a}\ \vec{b}\ \vec{c}] = 4$$. Let $$\vec{a'}, \vec{b'}, \vec{c'}$$ forms a reciprocal system of vectors defined by:
$$\vec{a'} = \frac{\vec{b} \times \vec{c}}{[\vec{a}\ \vec{b}\ \vec{c}]}, \quad \vec{b'} = \frac{\vec{c} \times \vec{a}}{[\vec{a}\ \vec{b}\ \vec{c}]}, \quad \vec{c'} = \frac{\vec{a} \times \vec{b}}{[\vec{a}\ \vec{b}\ \vec{c}]}$$
Evaluate the value of the expression:
$$(\vec{a} + 2\vec{b} - \vec{c}) \cdot \vec{a'} + (\vec{b} + 2\vec{c} - \vec{a}) \cdot \vec{b'} + (\vec{c} + 2\vec{a} - \vec{b}) \cdot \vec{c'}$$

Question 3

Let $$\overline{a\ },\overline{b\ },\overline{c\ }$$ be three non-coplanar unit vectors such that the angle between any two of them is $$\ \frac{\ \pi\ }{3}$$. If a vector $$\overline{v\ }$$ is expressed as $$\overline{v\ }=x\overline{a\ }\ +y\overline{b\ }+z\overline{c\ }$$ and satisfies the scalar dot products $$\overline{v\ }.\overline{a\ }=1$$, $$\overline{v\ }.\overline{b\ }=2$$ and $$\overline{v\ }.\overline{c\ }=3$$, then the value of $$\left|\overline{v\ }\right|^2$$ is
