Magnitude of a Vector

The magnitude of vector $$\vec a$$ is denoted by:

$$|\vec a|$$

or:

$$\|\vec a\|$$

For a vector from $$A(x_1,y_1,z_1)$$ to $$B(x_2,y_2,z_2)$$:

$$|\overrightarrow{AB}|=\sqrt{(x_2-x_1)^2+(y_2-y_1)^2+(z_2-z_1)^2}$$

Usage

- Used to calculate the length of a vector or distance between two points.
