Parallel Vectors

Two non-zero vectors are parallel if:

$$\vec a=\lambda\vec b$$

Usage

- Used to test whether two vectors have the same or opposite direction.

Question 1

Let $$\vec{a} = \hat{i} + \hat{j} + \hat{k}$$ and $$\vec{b} = \hat{i} - \hat{j} + \hat{k}$$. If a vector $$\vec{r}$$ satisfies $$\vec{r} \times \vec{a} = \vec{b} \times \vec{a}$$ and $$\vec{r} \cdot \vec{b} = 0$$, then the value of $$|\vec{r}|^2$$ is:
