Parallelogram Law of Vector Addition

If two vectors $$\vec a$$ and $$\vec b$$ act from the same point, their resultant is the diagonal:

$$\vec R=\vec a+\vec b$$

If the angle between them is $$\theta$$:

$$|\vec R|=\sqrt{a^2+b^2+2ab\cos\theta}$$

Usage

- Used to find the magnitude of the resultant of two vectors.
