Differential Equation of a Straight-Line Family

For:

$$y=mx+c$$

where $$m$$ and $$c$$ are arbitrary constants, differentiating gives:

$$\frac{dy}{dx}=m$$

and:

$$\frac{d^2y}{dx^2}=0$$

Usage

- Used to form differential equations representing families of straight lines.
