Line Through Intersection Parallel to a Given Line

## Formula

If:

$$L_1=0,\quad L_2=0$$

are two intersecting lines, and the required line is:

$$L_1+\lambda L_2=0$$

then $$\lambda$$ is determined by making its slope equal to the slope of the given parallel line.

## Usage

- Used when a line must pass through the intersection of two given lines and be parallel to another line.
