Family of Lines Through a Common Point

## Formula

If two lines:

$$L_1=0,\quad L_2=0$$

intersect at a point, then:

$$L_1+\lambda L_2=0$$

represents the complete family of lines through that point.

## Usage

- Used in problems involving a variable line passing through a fixed point.

Question 1

If non-zero numbers $$a,\ b,\ c$$ satisfy $$2a+3b-c=0$$ then the family of straight lines $$ax+by+c=0$$ always passes through a fixed point $$P(h,k)$$.Find the value of $$h^2+k^2$$.
