## Formula

A line through $$(x_1,y_1)$$ with direction vector $$(a,b)$$ is:

$$x=x_1+at,\quad y=y_1+bt$$

## Terminologies

- $$t$$ → Real parameter.

- $$(a,b)$$ → Direction vector.

## Usage

- Used to represent every point on a straight line using one parameter.
