If the circle touches:

$$Ax+By+C=0$$

at $$(x_1,y_1)$$, its centre lies on the normal through the point:

$$A(x-x_1)+B(y-y_1)=0$$

- Used to determine the possible centre of a circle when its point of contact with a line is known.
