If a chord subtends angle $$\theta$$ at the centre:

$$L=2r\sin\frac{\theta}{2}$$

Terminology

- $$\theta$$ → Central angle subtended by the chord.

Usage

- Used to calculate chord length when the corresponding central angle is known.
