Chord of Contact for a Circle at Origin

For:

$$x^2+y^2=a^2$$

the chord of contact from $$(x_1,y_1)$$ is:

$$xx_1+yy_1=a^2$$

Usage

- Used to obtain the polar of an external point with respect to a circle centred at the origin.

Question 1

Tangents are drawn from the point $$P(5,12)$$ to the circle $$x^2+y^2=25$$ .If these tangents touch the circle at points $$A$$ and $$B$$,
