## Formula

If $$n$$ arithmetic means are inserted between $$a$$ and $$b$$, the resulting AP contains:

$$n+2$$

terms.

The common difference is:

$$d=\frac{b-a}{n+1}$$

The inserted means are:

$$a+d,\ a+2d,\ldots,a+nd$$
