Diborane ($$\text{B}_2\text{H}_6$$) Hydrolysis

Rarely Tested

$$\text{B}_2\text{H}_6 + 6\text{H}_2\text{O} \to 2\text{H}_3\text{PO}_3 + 6\text{H}_2 \uparrow$$

Concept: Diborane is an electron-deficient molecule ($$12$$ valence electrons). Each boron atom is $$sp^3$$ hybridized. Four terminal hydrogens lie in one plane, while two bridging hydrogens lie above and below the plane forming $$3c\text{--}2e^-$$ banana bonds.
