Mr. Khanna is a politician who has to deliver speeches at seven different locations – Amritsar, Varanasi, Jalandhar, Gurgaon, Lucknow, Hyderabad, and Agra, on seven different days in the month of November 2016. He assigned the responsibility of scheduling to his secretary Dileep but set forth some conditions:
(i) If the speech at Agra is scheduled before that at Hyderabad, then the speech at Lucknow must be scheduled after that at Gurgaon
(ii) The speech at Agra is scheduled immediately after that at Gurgaon and the speech at neither of the two places can be conducted first or last
(iii) There must be exactly speeches at two different venues scheduled between that in Jalandhar and Hyderabad
(iv) The speech at Jalandhar is scheduled either sixth or second
(v) If the speech at Agra is scheduled after that at Hyderabad, then the speech at Lucknow must be scheduled before that at Gurgaon
(vi) The speech at Hyderabad is scheduled before that at Varanasi or Gurgaon but not before both

From (iii) and (iv) the speeches at Jalandhar and Hyderabad could be positioned at (6,3) or at (2,5). From (ii), Agra is scheduled immediately after Gurgaon. Thus, the following two combinations are possible
From (v), for Case I, Lucknow should be present at position 1 or 2. For Case II, from (i), Lucknow should be present at position 6 or 7. From (vi), the speech at Hyderabad should be scheduled between that at Gurgaon and Varanasi. Thus, for case I, Varanasi should be scheduled at position 1 or 2 and for Case II, Varanasi should be scheduled at position 6 or 7. The table will be as follows:

From the above table we can see that even if Hyderabad and Varanasi cannot be scheduled one after the other, there would be two cases possible. In one case Jalandhar will be position 6 and in the other case, Lucknow will be at position 6. Thus, D is the right choice.
