If k is an integer and $$0.0010101\times10^{k}$$ is greater than 1000, what is the least possible value of k?

Solution

0.0010101 to make it greater than 1000 we will have to shift the decimal point by 6 places.
Thus, we will have to multiply the given number by $$10^6$$.
Hence, option C is the correct answer.
