CMAT 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to conduct the CMAT exam in January 2026. The official CMAT 2026 notification has been released on the NTA website. Registration for CMAT 2026 has started from 17th October 2025 (Open Now). Interested candidates must complete their registration on the CMAT-NTA website.
CMAT (Common Management Admission Test) is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). It is a National level entrance exam for admission into management programmes of AICTE-Approved Institutions/Colleges/Universities. CMAT 2026 notification has been released, and the registration has registration started on October 17 th. CMAT is an MCQ-based exam. You can move back & forth between the sections in this 3 Hour test.

CMAT Eligibility Criteria 2026
The candidate must be an Indian Citizen with a minimum of under-graduate education. Final year candidates can also apply provided that they complete the graduation before the management course commences.
Every MBA aspirant must go through the CMAT exam eligibility before the commencement of the CMAT registration process. Here’s a list of common requirements that one needs to fulfill:
- The candidate must have a bachelor's degree or equivalent from a recognized university.
- Final-year students can also apply.
- No minimum marks are required for appearing in the CMAT exam. However, a minimum of 50% for admission (45% for SC/ST/PwD) is needed.
- Candidates from any stream can apply for the CMAT exam registration.
- Regular, distance, correspondence, etc. all modes of degree holders are accepted.
- There is no minimum or maximum CMAT age requirement.
- Only Indian citizens can apply for the CMAT exam.
CMAT Registration Process 2026
The registration process has started. The notification for the same has been released on the NTA website. The specified timeline for the exact date of the exam has not yet released.
- Visit the Official Website: The registration portal of CMAT is at www.cmat.nta.nic.in
- Create an Account: If you're a first-time user, you'll need to create an account by providing basic details such as your name, email address, and mobile number. If you already have an account, simply log in using your credentials.
- Fill in the Application Form: Enter your personal details, educational qualifications, and other relevant information. Ensure that all information provided is accurate and up to date.
- Upload Documents: Upload scanned copies of your photograph and signature as per the specifications mentioned in the guidelines.
- Pay the Application Fee: Proceed to pay the CMAT application fee online using the available payment options.
- Submit the Application Form: Review all the information entered in the application form before submitting it. Once submitted, note down the application number and take a printout of the confirmation page for future reference.
