The Integrated Programme in Management Aptitude Test. It is a national-level entrance exam. This test is your gateway to the five-year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) at India’s top IIMs. The program is designed for students who have recently completed Class 12. It offers a direct path to a top-tier management degree. A dual degree, in fact. BBA/BA plus an MBA. The IPMAT Exam 2026 is not just one test. It is a series of exams. IIM Indore and IIM Rohtak have their own versions. IIM Jammu and IIM Bodh Gaya use the JIPMAT score.

What is IPMAT?

There are three main tests you should know about:
- IPMAT Indore: This test is from IIM Indore. Its scores are widely accepted. IIM Indore, IIM Ranchi, IIFT, and IIM Amritsar all use it. It is known as the toughest of the three.
- IPMAT Rohtak: This test is for IIM Rohtak’s own IPM program. The exam pattern is a bit different. It has a separate section just for Logical Reasoning.
- JIPMAT (Joint Integrated Programme in Management Admission Test): The National Testing Agency (NTA) runs this one. It is for admission to IIM Bodh Gaya and IIM Jammu.

IPMAT Registration 2026
Registration is 100% online. You will use the official websites. The application window usually stays open for 40 to 50 days.

- Start Date: Second week of February 2026.
- End Date: Last week of March 2026 for IIM Indore. Second week of April 2026 for IIM Rohtak.

IPMAT Notification 2026
The official notification. This is your starting gun. It is the first real source of information. IIM Indore and IIM Rohtak usually release them in the second week of February. This is when the application process kicks off.

The rules are strict. Very strict. Especially about age and grades. The requirements for IIM Indore and IIM Rohtak are slightly different.

A quick note. IIM Indore itself does not list a minimum percentage. But other schools that accept its score, like IIM Ranchi, do. They require at least 60%.

IPMAT Admit Card 2026
The admit card. Your ticket to the exam hall. You cannot enter without it. It will be released online only. No copies will be mailed.
- Expected Release Date: Last week of April 2026 or the first week of May 2026.
- How to Download: Log in to the official IIM website. Use your application number and password.
- What to Check: Your name. Roll number. Exam center. Date and time. If anything is wrong, report it immediately.
On exam day, bring a printout of the admit card. Also, bring an original government photo ID. An Aadhaar Card or Passport will work.

Key Topics to Study:
- Quantitative Ability: Focus on Arithmetic. This includes Percentages, Profit & Loss, and Time & Work. Also, cover Algebra, Geometry, and Modern Math like Permutation & Combination.
- Verbal Ability: Reading Comprehension is king. You also need a strong vocabulary. Think Synonyms, Antonyms, and Idioms. Grammar is also tested.
- Logical Reasoning (for Rohtak): Get good at Arrangements and Blood Relations. Practice Syllogisms, Coding-Decoding, and Data Interpretation.
