Question 9

$$x, y$$ and $$z$$ are prime numbers and $$x + y + z = 38$$. What is the maximum value of $$x$$?

Solution

We have x+y+z=38
And x,y,z are prime numbers
Now we will try to maximize one number and minimize the other two
In doing so
we get 38=31+7=31+5+2
so we can say maximum value of x will be 31
