Breadth of the box after the sheet is cut off (b) = 36 - (8 + 8) = 20 cm

Height (h) = 8 cm

Volume of the box = l x b x h

$$\Rightarrow$$ 32 x 20 x 8 = 5120 cm$$^{3}$$
