A eukaryotic cell is a cell which exhibit membrane-bound organelles. They exhibit a well-defined membrane-bound nucleus in which the DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) resides it is the genetic material which is passed on from parents to their offsprings. This property of eukaryotic cell makes it distinct from a prokaryotic cell as the prokaryotic cell lack a nucleus.
