what is the highest number of 12 in 100!?

In this question 12=2^2*3

Should I find highest number of 4 in 100! or 2 in 100! and then divide by 2 further?

I'm only confused about how to calculate the highest no of 4 in 100!

the maximum exponential power of a number in x!=[x/a]+[x/a^2]+.....

here [z] denote highest integer less than z

This is applicable only if a is prime

if u wnat to find for 12. find for 2 and 3. now 12=4*3. so halve the max  exponential power of 2. let it be y. if the exponential power of 3 be z. if y>z then max exponential power of 12 will be z. or else it is y
