Sum of the interior angles of Octagon = 1080 degrees

1080 can be written as 4*90+4*180.

Maximum value of any angle = 179

Acute angle is < 90

Therefore, putting the above constraints in mind, 1080 can be written as 3*89+4*179 + 97. 

Therefore, the maximum number of acute angles possible = 3.
