let 1st marks is x

2nd marks is x+9

2x+9 *56/100=x+9

112x/100+ 504/100=x+9

12x/100=396/100x

x=33

1st marks is 33 and 2nd is 42

To keep it simple  it's  already  said one got 9 marks more than other. Out of the options  given only option A  satisfies the condition
