Time and Work--> Escalator problems--> example 4, there is a statement, "Since the speed of the escalator is more than the speed of A, he is moving up on the escalator whereas B is moving down." How? kindly explain.

Hi,

In the question it is mentioned that both move in different directions. Further, it is also mentioned that both eventually reach their destination. We know that escalator moves faster than A but slower than B. So, the only case when both reach their destination will be when A wants to go up and B wants to go down. I hope this answers your query.
