This comes under distribution in LR. From the conditions we can infer that X can be in floors 1,5 or 7 but since Z lives immediately below X, X can only be either in 5 or 7. Therefore Z could either be in 4 or 6 based on X's position. It is also given there are 6 persons between S and Y, making them fall in extreme levels i.e 1 and 8 (in any order). Since the last statement infers W live above Y, we can say Y lives in 1 and S lives in 8. Since more than 2 persons live between Z and Y, Z has to be in 6 (not 4). Therefore X in 7. So far the arrangement is 1-Y, 6-Z, 7-X, 8-S. From 5th condition the sequence is WVT and since W doesn't live immediately above Y. W can only take 3. Resulting in V in 4, T in 5 and therefore U in 2. Final arrangement : 1-Y, 2-U, 3-W, 4-V, 5-T, 6-Z, 7-X, 8-S.
