P+C+PC/100 = E Acc. to condition, P=24% and E=14% and we are asked to calculate C which in this case has to be decreased therefore, 24 +(-C) + [24(-C)]/100 = 14 which turns out to be 24 - C - 24*C/100 = 14 on solving C = 8%
