The answer given is (90+70+150)/(100+150+200)=68.88%Why can't the answer be (90/100+70/150+150/200)/3=70.05 %

Because that is not how Avg is calculated, you should first try to clear your basic concept on Averages

You have to calculate the average of the overall sum of the scores obtained not the average of the ratio or fraction of these marks. It is a conceptual problem please revisit the averages chapter.
