The company announced 50 percent hike in employee salaries. Assumptions: 1. Company is making good profits. 2. The employees are not satisfied with their current salaries. Which of the assumptions are implied.

Hi Bhaalu, Assumption 1 and 2 are both not implied. Assumption 1 depends on various factors and salary hike cannot be the only reason why it could have happpend Assumption 2 cannot be implied as the statement just tells about the company giving a hike and doesn't tell us anything about how the employees are feeling.

Sir, but I think Assumption 1 could be possibly implied as 50 percent is a very significant or generous value. Without making profit, a company will very unlikely give such a huge hike. Also, I checked with many LLMs and 3 out of 4 said assumption 1 can be implied with the same logic. However, Co-pilot had conflicting answers. Could you please confirm the correct answer.
