Some apples were distributed evenly among some boys. If eight more apples were distributed ,each boy would have got four apples . If the number of apples distributed had been two less, each Boy would have got three apples. How many apples were distributed?

Some apples - X
Some boys - Y
Each gets - X/Y
If 8 more added each gets 4 apples.
X+8/Y = 4
X+8=4Y ———-(1)
If 2 apples less distributed than each gets 3
X-2/Y = 3
X-2=3Y —————(2)
If you solve equation 1 and 2 by substituting you get Y=10 X=32.
They are asking Total / Some Apples = 32

Let number of apples be x
Now, x + 8/4 = × - 2/3
Hence, x = 32

32 apples
If 'x' are available to be distributed among 'y' boys,
then
(x+8)/y=4 or 4y-x=8 ---(i)
&
(x-2)/y=3 or 3y-x=-2 ---(ii)
On solving (i) & (ii),
x=32, y=10

Suppose, number of students are x and intial number of apples are y.
Condition 1: If every student gets 4 apple, so number of apples distributed are 4x.
As number of apples distributed are 8 more than the intial number of apples,
So, 4x=y+8
Similarly from condition 2, 3x=y-2
Solving both the equations, y=32

i am getting 32 as the answer. but 32 has to be divided among 10 students. i dont know whether its correct or not
