What is SNAP Exam?

SNAP i.e. Symbiosis National Aptitude Test is a national-level MBA entrance exam which is conducted by Symbiosis International University (SIU) for admission to management programmes offered by its affiliated institutes along with several other private B-schools. It is another one of the popular MBA entrance exams. It is usually held thrice a year in the month of December. More than 75,000 candidates appear for SNAP every year. 

SNAP is a comparatively easier MBA entrance exam than other popular entrance tests like CAT or XAT. Generally, it is designed as a speed-based test exam to assess the candidate’s time management and decision-making skills. Since 2017, SNAP has been held in online mode at test centres. The exam is carried out at 100+ centres across India. The top MBA Colleges through SNAP Exams are SIBM Pune, SCMHRD, SIIB, SIBM Banglore, SIOM, SIBM Nagpur etc. Since there are three attempts every year, a candidate has the liberty to appear for all three attempts and the best score of the three is considered for further processes.

SNAP Exam 2024: Eligibility Criteria

The Eligibility Criteria for General MBA programmes are as specified below:

• Graduation from any recognised University/ Institution of National Importance & must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade (45% marks or equivalent grade for Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes) at graduation.
• Candidates who are in the final year of their graduation can also apply, but their admission will be subject to obtaining a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade (45% or equivalent grade for Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes).
• Those candidates who have fulfilled qualifications from any Foreign University must obtain an equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

SNAP Exam 2024: Registration

You may find the registration process for SNAP a bit different from other MBA entrance exams registration process. Candidates have to first select the dates and pay then proceed with your application details. Check out all the steps below:

Step 1: Select the number of attempts you wish to appear for and the dates of those attempts.

Step 2: Visit the SNAP official website i.e. www.snaptest.org
Step 3: Register yourself by clicking on the ‘New User Registration’ link and provide the asked details.

Step 4: You will receive the user ID and password on the registered email address once the registration is complete. Use the credentials to log in.
Step 5: Further, fill out the application form and upload the documents which are asked.
Step 6: You can make the payment through online or DD. Once the payment is done, your form is filled out.

SNAP Exam 2024: Exam Pattern

Over the past few years, SIU has introduced multiple changes to the SNAP exam. Earlier, the exam used to be of 2 hours. Now, the exam duration is reduced to 1 hour. Candidates are also now allowed to appear for all three attempts and the best of the three attempts is considered for further evaluation.
