SBI Associated Clerk 2011 Question Paper (1st Shift)

There are two arithmetic progression series,

With 353,351,349… having a difference of -2

and 354, 356… having a difference of 2

Hence, the required term is 358

The generalized formula for nth term is, previous term + 2^n 

Here the required term is 5th in the series.

Hence, 29 + 2^5 = 61

For the series the nth term is 'last term + 12*(n-1)'

In the series, we are required to find, 6th term.

Hence, 6th term is 165+12*(5) = 225.

Here, each sucessive nth term is 'previous term + (n-1)³' 

We are supposed to find 6th term. 

Hence, 6th term = 117 + (6-1)^3 = 117 + 125 = 242

The given series is Arithmetic Progression with common difference $$\frac{1}{4}$$.

Hence, the next term will be $$1\frac{3}{4}$$ + $$\frac{1}{4}$$ = 2

Simple interest = Principal * no. of years * rate of interest = 10,000*2*.03=600
Let his salary be x 
.03x=600
x=20,000

Let total number of members be T.

The number of married number if percent is 28% = .28T

Hence, percent of unmarried members = (100-28)%=72%

And the number = .72T

The ratio of married to unmarried= .28/.72 = $$\frac{7}{18}$$

Let the numbers be a,b,c,d,e.

Hence (a+b+c+d+e)/5=49

(a+b)/2=48, a+b=96.

(d+e)/2=28,d+e=56

c=245-96-56=93

If a word has n different letters in it, then they can be arranged in n! different ways.

Here SECOND has 6 different letters and they can be arranged in 6! ways i.e 720 different ways.

Let numerator be x and denominator be y.

If numerator is increased by 200% it becomes 3x and if numerator is increased by 150% it becomes 2.5y

Now the new fraction is 9/10.

Hence, (3x/2.5y)=(9/10) which gives $$\frac{x}{y}$$=$$\frac{3}{4}$$
