If in each of the given words , each alphabet is changed to the next letter in the English alphabetical series, in how many words thus formed have the consonants changed to vowels ?

Solution

After changing the alphabets to their next sucessive letters in the alphabetical series,

RAT ONE BUT AND SAW

changes to

SBU POF CVU BOE TBX

Now, in SBU POF CVU BOE the words are obtained after changing consonants to vowels.

Hence, four words have this consonant to vovel change.

Answer is option D.
