In a certain code TRUMP is written SUTQN. How is FIRED written in that code ?

Solution

By analysing the coding between TRUMP and SUTQN we get that first pair from right is switched and then first pair from left is switched. Then sucessive letter in alphabetical series is written for first, second, fourth and fifth letter.

For the middle letter, the preceeding letter in alphabetical series is written.

Thus FIRED after first operation would become IFRDE and then after substitution would become JGQEF.
