Remove placements and rankings for 5 minutes. How would YOU choose a B-school?

Remove placements and rankings for five minutes.
Now, how would you choose a B-school?
When I was an aspirant, most comparisons eventually became a spreadsheet: average package, highest package, batch size, fees, ROI. Useful? Yes. But a spreadsheet cannot tell you what your life there will actually feel like.
Today, as a student at IMI Kolkata, I would ask different questions:
Will I get real opportunities to lead, or only attend classes?
Can I approach seniors and faculty without booking an imaginary appointment three weeks in advance?
Will the peer group challenge me while still helping me survive a presentation made at 2 a.m.?
Does the location offer industry exposure and a life outside campus?
Most importantly, can I picture myself growing there for two years?
Placements matter. Rankings matter too. But your B-school will also become your classroom, workplace, social circle and occasional sleep-deprivation experiment.
So, if placements and rankings disappeared from every website tonight, what would become your deciding factor?
