12 usd.. reply if its correct?

Harshita Singh 10y ago

Yes, it's 12 USD
Please can you explain how you got this answer?

shubham kumar 10y ago

See.. Suppose x rs contribution of mayank, y for mirza and z for little.
So x+y+z=60
Now conditions are provided like
X=y/2+z/2
Y=x/3+z/3
Z=x/4+z/4

Now solve these three equation to get a relation in x, y and z
Put these relation in first equation to get the value.

m + mi + l + j = 60

m = 1/2(mi + l + j) mi = 1/3(m + j + l) l = 1/4 (m + mi + j)

3m=60 => m = 20 4mi =60 => mi =15 5l = 60 => l= 12

Jaspal's contribution = 60 - (20 +15 + 12) = 13$

Answer will be $13 and not $12.
