Genuinely do not know the right answer to this question and I'm not even eligible to answer this I feel. But I do want to talk about the uncertainty of cat. Last year I had scored terribly in cat; so much so that I didn't even feel like ever looking at the scorecard again. But, I had 37.5(97.78%ile) in VARC, which is in fact my strongest section. I felt with actual preparation I could score better at varc and in general. My whole strategy was geared to maximising the varc score. But this year, I tanked the section, something I have yet to come to terms to. Ironically, in aimcat2202 I scored 54 in varc, and in cat, 27(exactly half). So cat is very unpredictable. So if you get a great opportunity, I would say take it. There is a concept called 'sky thinking', which means that we all tend to believe that all good will happen in the future. While in that phase, we tend to downplay our present achievements. That is detrimental. The future is like a mirage. Life is unpredictable; so when we get great opportunities, we should try to make the best of them, atleast that's what I feel. Sorry for the rambling.<br>

Go for the best option you have now. as @Aayushi Vats said, it's all unpredictable. I was sure of getting 96+%ile in CAT this year, but panicked and my entire attempt is completely devastated. You never know what your situation would be when you sit for CAT next time. So, go for what the best you can, right now.

@ramdom 0 thank you! Yes, I am over this, just looking forwards now. Definitely cat could have been better, but it also could have been much worse, and I am thankful for that not happening. All the best to you!!

I am so sorry to hear that. I really hope you get over this soon. It really hurts when one has performed so well in mocks but somehow screw up in actual cat. Also the point you said about cat and life being unpredictable and sky thinking is 100% true. Also no need to apologize. I am here for you if you wanna vent.
