In my 1st DashCat I perfomed miserably and most of them were silly mistakes. In Verbal Sectional I performed slightly below average. Is it okay if I am taking around a week to assess my mistakes, practice more and redefine my strategy before my another DashCat attempt?

I would also advice you to analyze the mock completely before attempting the next mock. Mock analysis is the most important part and you should spend time on it .
