If a clock strikes once at 12 AM, twice at 1 AM, trice at 3 AM, and so on, how many times will it be struck in the course of 3 days?

sorry... answer will be 468
first calculate the sum of AP series 1+2+3+....+12
answer will be 78
then 78 is for 12 hours, so for 24 hours, it will strike 156
so in 3days it will strike 468
